Thai Bourse To Launch New TV Program In January

Date 28/12/2006

The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) is about to launch a new, live TV program, “Keeping Up the Beat with 5 Markets”, broadcasting on UBC 97 (cable TV) and Channel 5 (free TV), from January 3, 2007, Monday to Friday, 09:30 – 10:00 hours. The program will be produced by Family Know-How Co., Ltd., a SET subsidiary.

“Keeping Up the Beat with 5 Markets” will present market movements and important information from SET, Market for Alternative Investment (mai), Bond Electronic Exchange (BEX), Thailand Futures Exchange (TFEX) and Agricultural Futures Exchange of Thailand (AFET). In addition to news and information, it will feature economic and market analysis, and investment tips.

“This is the first program covering all five markets from half an hour before they open. Investors who want direct, reliable information should not miss it,” SET Executive Vice President Mr. Vichate Tantiwanich said.

As part of its mission to ensure that investors receive full and timely information, SET previously established the 24-hour ‘Money Channel’, specializing in finance and investment, on UBC cable TV channel 97.

“Smart Money”, currently on Money Channel from 15:30 – 16:00 hours, will be simulcast on Channel 5. This program highlights global trends in financial instruments, personal finance tips and investment alternatives.

Money Channel can be viewed nationwide on the provincial cable TV network, UBC97, selected websites (www.settrade.com, www.hispeedworld.com, www.buddybroadband.com), and the Thai Global Network (TGN), broadcast through the KU band satellite. Market updates are also available on FM101 MHz every half an hour from 08:00 – 21:30 hours.
