The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET), has joint hands with Money & Banking magazine, to organize SET Awards 2015, under the concept "Towards Wealth and Stability of Thai capital market," to be held at an annual event on November 25 in Bangkok.
SET President Kesara Manchusree said, “The SET Awards event has been held for the 12th consecutive year to recognize and honor firms with outstanding performance, including listed companies, securities firms, asset management companies, as well as the top executives of listed companies. This year's concept underlines SET’s commitment to develop stakeholders’ stability development and strengthen their capabilities, performance and potential for growth.”
The final list consists of 51 companies and 10 CEOs in five categories, namely Best CEO, Best Company Performance, Best Investor Relations, Best Securities Company, and Best Asset Management Company, to win 21 awards in November.
Santi Viriyarungsarit, Editor-in-Chief of Money & Banking magazine, the SET Awards co-host and one of the distinguished judges, said, “For the Best CEO Award, we consider not only their capabilities to drive business towards high performance growth, but also focus on their ethics, collaboration in the industry and responsibilities for all stakeholders. The final list for the Best CEO award this year is extremely interesting as a rising number of candidates who could pass into the final round and all of them have high potential and abilities to drive their organization to beat the economic slowdown.”
The distinguished judges for the SET Awards 2015 are Panas Simasathien, Maruey Phadoongsidhi, Seri Chintanaseri, Santi Viriyarungsarit, Yuth Vorachattarn, Patareeya Benjapolchai, Kesara Manchusree, and Santi Kiranand.
SET has also continued promoting Corporate Social Responsibility and Corporate Governance practices among listed companies by recently granting the Top Corporate Governance Report and the Best Corporate Social Responsibility awards in the middle of October, to recognize listed companies with prime performance on environmental, social and governance (ESG) aspects.
