Thai Bourse Co-Organizes “Crisis Watch” Seminar Series For Entrepreneurs

Date 15/09/2010

The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) and the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI) have co-organized a series of “Crisis Watch” seminars for entrepreneurs to be prepared for risks that might happen to Thailand’s economy, finance, or industries. This program will help participants more effectively manage such risks, create business opportunities and develop the nation’s competitiveness.

“This program will be a warning system for entrepreneurs and help them receive in-depth information on hot issues of vital importance to them. Experts from various organizations will identify and analyze risks in the country’s economy, finance, and industries to help participants manage these risks and thus increase their competitiveness. This will help fulfill one of SET’s important missions, to develop the Thai capital market by helping business owners to become ‘Smart Entrepreneurs,’ who would be able to expand their firms in a sustainable fashion, besides being a center or alternative for investors and fundraisers, said SET Market Education Center Executive Director Punsak Vejanurug.

“The cooperation between the Federation of Thai Industries and SET in holding these seminars utilizes each organizations’ strong points and develops the entrepreneurs’ potential by giving information that will beneficial to their business operations. It will also help them manage risk in a timely manner to strengthen and enable them to reach international standards,” said FTI Chairman Payungsak Chartsutipol.

The Crisis Watch seminars will be held every other month at the SET Building, Ratchadapisek Road. The first seminar was held today on the topic “AFTA opportunity: trade and investment.” Entrepreneurs interested in attending future sessions in the Crisis Watch series should visit www.set.or.th for more information, or call S-E-T Call Center at 0 2229 2222.
