SETTRADE.Com Co., Ltd. (SETTRADE) has developed its online futures trading facilities in cooperation with Daishin Securities, a leader in the field in Korea. The new service, which is scheduled for launch on Aug. 28, will support futures trading in the Thai market with a highly efficient, modern, and user-friendly system.
SETTRADE developed ‘Settrade OneClick’, an online futures trading program, in collaboration with Daishin Securities, which is the leader in Korea’s online futures trading services.
“The development is to make it unnecessary for Thai securities companies to develop their own systems, hence help to reduce their costs,” SETTRADE Chief Executive Office Ms. Chanisa Chutipat said.
Settrade OneClick has been designed for derivatives trading, where investors need to study market movements closely, with full information readily accessible. SETTRADE will be ready to launch the service on August 28, right on the same day that TFEX allows for online futures trading to start.
“SETTRADE chose to work with Daishin Securities because of their experience in internet trading. Its system’s efficiency, speed and ease of use will make investment in futures much more convenient,” Ms. Chanisa added.
Daishin was pleased to contribute to the Thai capital market’s development, by working with SETTRADE to establish the program. The collaboration has provided knowledge-transfer, and signals a good working relationship and future collaboration, Daishin Securities Chairlady Ms. Auh Ryung Lee said.
Since commencing internet trading in 1997, Korea now has the world’s highest online trading turnover, making up approximately 50% of its total securities trading.

SETTRADE will cooperate with Thailand Futures Exchange PCL (TFEX), Thailand Securities Institute (TSI), and the securities firms with online futures trading services, to undertake an educational program, including a range of activities, such as seminars, workshops, and simulation games. This new futures trading program was trialed at the recent Investors’ Day in early August.
There are 10 brokerage firms initially using Settrade OneClick and related systems. They are (in alphabetical order): ACL Securities Co., Ltd. (ACLS), Ayudhya Derivatives Co., Ltd. (AYD), Bualuang Securities PCL (BLS), DBS Vickers Securities (Thailand) Co., Ltd. (DBSV), Kim Eng Securities (Thailand) PCL (KEST), KGI Securities (Thailand) PCL (KGI), Phatra Securities PCL (PHATR), Trinity Polaris Futures Co., Ltd. (TIPOL), Thanachart Securities PCL (TNS), and TISCO Securities Co., Ltd. (TSC).
