Trading on the Tel-Aviv Stock Exchange (TASE) on the third week of July, was marked by a mix trend in the leading share indices; Further offerings in the bond market - Bank Leumi raised US$ 745 million in a bond offering to the public
TA-25 index
The TA-25 index increased 0.5% over the last week, and increased 16.2% since the beginning of the year, after an increase of 10.2% for the whole of 2014.
TA-100 index
The TA-100 index increased 0.4% over the last week, and increased 13.8% since the beginning of the year, after an increase of 6.7% for the whole of 2014.
TA-BIOMED
The TA-BIOMED index decreased 2.1% this week. Since the beginning of the year the index increased by5.2%, after an decrease of 33.9% in 2014.
Corporate Bonds
This week there were four bond offerings to the public by the business sector amounting to US$ 1,020 million.
The largest offering was made by Bank Leumi amounting to US$ 745 million.
Since the beginning of the year the business sector raised US$ 9.4 billion through bonds.
Share Offerings
This week there were two share offerings to the public by high tech companies on TASE amounting to US$ 1.5 million.
The bio-med company Redhill Biopharma whose shares are traded also on the NASDAQ, raised US$ 40 million this week in a public share offering in US.
Since the beginning of the year, the business sector raised US$ 0.8 billion in shares on TASE.
Government Bonds
The Ministry of Finance (MoF) made a bond offering this week listed on the TASE, amounting to US$ 0.2 billion.
Since the beginning of the year, the MoF raised a total of US$ 6 billion in bond offerings on the TASE.
ETN Offerings
This week a new ETN was issued on share indices in US (banks and financial sectors). Currently there are 634 ETNs traded on TASE.
Composite State-of-the-Economy Index
The Bank of Israel released figures indicating that the Composite State-of-the Economy Index rose 0.4% inJune 2015, slightly higher than its rate of growth in recent months.
Economic Growth
The Central Bureau of Statistics released figures indicating that GDP increased by 2% in the first quarter of 2015 (compared with 2.1% in the previous estimate), after an increase of 6.5% and 0.8% in the last quarter and in the third quarter of 2014, respectively.
