Tel-Aviv Stock Exchange Announces The “100 Club” Consisting Of Companies That Achieved A Share-Yield Increase Of More Than 100% Over The Past Year

Date 03/01/2024

13 companies are included in the TASE 100 club this year, 10 are high-tech companies; The highest share yield in 2023 was achieved by Aryt Industries, operating in Sderot, with an increase of more than 400% Lachish Industries was the only company to be awarded 5 stars, achieving a positive yield in each of the past three years

As we welcome 2024, The Tel-Aviv Stock Exchange (TASE) is proud to announce today the launch of the “TASE 100 Club”, which includes companies with a market cap exceeding NIS 200 million, that have achieved a share-yield of at least 100% over 2023. As part of its efforts to improve the public’s acquaintance with the TASE-listed companies, at the beginning of every calendar year TASE will announce the 100 Club constituents in a dedicated promotional event that will offer the public a closer look at the club members.

According to TASE’s Research Unit, 13 companies achieved a yield of more than 100% in 2023. The high-tech sector stood out with 10 such companies - 7 Technology companies and 3 Biomed companies, while Traditional Industry entered 3 representatives into the 100 Club.

Rating System of the TASE 100 Club

The TASE staff applies a star system (3-5 stars) to rate the companies that achieved a yield exceeding 100% over the past year, which awards 5 stars to companies that achieved a positive yield in each of the past 3 years, 4 stars to companies that achieved a cumulative positive yield over the past 3 years, and 3 stars to other club members with a yield of more than 100% in the past year.

Trading activity on TASE since the beginning of the year until shortly before the breakout of the “Swords of Iron” War was affected by the uncertainty surrounding the Judicial Reform, alongside interest-rate increases in Israel and internationally. The “Swords of Iron” War that broke out on October 7 has shaken the economy and TASE, giving rise to ongoing uncertainty. Despite the above events, 13 companies, mostly from the High-Tech sector, more than doubled their market cap since the end of 2022, achieving substantial yield for their shareholders: Aryt Industries, the top yielder in 2023, achieved a yield of more than 400%, Next Vision, a TA-90 Index constituent, achieved a share yield of more than 300%, and two companies achieved a share yield of more than 200%: Camtek, a TA-35 Index constituent and BrainsWay, a TA-Growth Index constituent. Lachish Industries is the only company awarded 5 stars, for achieving positive yield in each of the past three years.

Most Club members are companies that have been operating in the capital market for a long time, with ongoing income from the sale of their products, mostly abroad. Half of them operate in global growth markets with continued increase in demand for their products. These include sectors with strong growth potential, such as semiconductor microchips, electric vehicles and advanced defense technologies, which gained tailwind following the breakout of the war.

During January, TASE will host the management of the 100 Club constituents in a special Opening Bell Ceremony to mark the launch of the club.
