The first IPO Summit entitled "National Conference on listing of companies in StockExchange; opportunities and benefits " was held by Tehran stock Exchange on 24 May 2011, at Milad Tower, in Tehran.
The delegates of more than 500 leading Iranian companies, the Minister of Finance and Economic Affairs, the President of Chamber of Industries and Mines, the President of the Securities and Exchange organization and directors of the Tehran Stock Exchange and the Farabourse Exchange participated and gave a speech in this event.
The summit was a key opportunity for investment experts, companies' directors, regulators and market leaders to discuss the new regulatory standards and advantages of listing, macro-economic issues affecting IPOs, changes of the finance system in the country, the role of stock exchange in financing activity in the country. The specialized panel also answered the main questions of audience on the related issues.
In addition to addressing the above issues, the IPO Summit also acted as a meeting place for investment banking executives to make contact with the leaders of the largest private businesses now considering an IPO.
An IPO is one way for private equity companies to raising capital in the growth anddevelopment stage and is a critical factor for success in the economy.
