Taiwan Futures Exchange (TAIFEX) successfully hosted the 28th Association of Futures Markets (AFM) Annual Conference on June 4–5, 2026, at the Taipei Marriott Hotel. The event brought together representatives from exchanges, financial institutions, market infrastructure providers and technology firms across Asia, Europe, the Americas and Africa to exchange views on global derivatives market trends and explore opportunities for cross-market collaboration.
This year’s agenda covered a broad range of key topics, including growth opportunities and challenges in Asia’s futures markets, developments in collateral management and clearing, rising retail participation, the impact of extended trading hours, and the role of artificial intelligence and market infrastructure in shaping the future of derivatives markets. At the AFM General Assembly held alongside the conference, TAIFEX was re-elected to the AFM Supervisory Board, reflecting international recognition of TAIFEX’s long-standing commitment to global engagement and cross-market cooperation.
