TABB Group has brought on Terry Roche, an industry veteran with 30 years’ experience in capital markets technology and operations, as principal, head of fintech research. Based in New York, he will be expanding the research and consulting firm’s fintech practice beyond its data and analytics coverage.
“Terry Roche has extensive, hands-on experience driving global delivery, management, design, development, implementation and support of cost-effective, enterprise-wide information and business system solutions,” says Larry Tabb, founder and CEO at TABB. “After building and managing technology for some of the industry’s leading capital markets brands, we’re eager for him to help broaden, deepen and further evolve our client-centric fintech research and consulting services to meet our clients’ needs – an integral part of sustaining our strength as a powerful force across fixed income, derivatives, equities and technology research.”
Prior to TABB, Terry Roche served as chief operating officer at NYSE Technologies, joining NYSE after holding senior executive positions at Thomson Reuters and Reuters, including: managing director, global head of Elektron Real Time and Platform, creating the strategic plan and delivered Elektron’s next-generation data collection and data feeds using the Thomson Reuters Enterprise Platform, which also serves as the real time platform for Eikon; executive vice president/global head, Enterprise Platform; and global head of strategic business for focus group accounts, responsible for strategic engagement with the top 24 major client accounts supporting material and enterprise license agreements.
He also held senior positions at HSBC that included global head of market data, head of global middleware and commercial director, fixed income e-commerce. He began his career at Telerate and spent two years at Salomon Brothers, responsible for day-to-day market data trading floor operations; ten years at Republic National Bank of New York as head of trading infrastructure and data; and WhiteTree Solutions, an advisory firm he founded.
