Summary Of FESE Member Exchanges Statistics For July 2007

During the month of July 2007, more than 61 million equity trades were done with a value close to 2,012 billion EUR which makes it one of the most active months ever.

From January 2007 to July 2007, the value of equity trading was close to 13,620 billion EUR, this means a 37.4% increase compare to the same period in 2006. The equity market capitalisation of FESE Member exchanges went up to 12,128 billion EUR, around 19.6% increase over one year.

ETFs trading volumes were at the end of July 65.3% higher than in the same period last year, while Securitised Derivatives were around 41.2% higher.

Bond trading value went up to 3.9% and is now close to 5,800 billion EUR.

The number of derivative contracts traded has increased by 19.5% for equity derivatives and by 8.5% for bond derivatives in the last year. (Derivatives figures are missing for OMX Nordic Exchanges. Please check the website for the update)
