Liquidity has increased across all our markets on the Nordic Exchange during the first half-year 2007. Since the peak in year 2000 the daily share trading volumes on the Nordic Exchange have increased 67 per cent. In the first six months new turnover records have been set four times on the Nordic Exchange and 54 companies have also been welcomed to the Nordic Exchange, as compared to 43 for the first six months 2006. The Nordic Exchange now encompasses 834 companies.
Trading in June
The value of average daily share trading amounted to EUR 5.4 billion, as compared to EUR 4.7 billion during the past 12-month period. The average number of trades per business day amounted to 186,094, as compared to 149,417 during the past 12-month period. The average daily trading volume in Swedish, Finnish and Danish equity and fixed-income derivative products amounted to 678,157 contracts, as compared to 579,657 contracts during the past 12-month period.
