STOXX Limited Wins “Index Provider Of The Year” Award For The Second Consecutive Year

Date 27/11/2015

STOXX Limited, a leading provider of innovative, tradable and global index concepts, today announced that it has won the Structured Products Europe 2015 Award under the category “Index Provider Of The Year” for the second time in a row. The award was presented at a ceremony after the annual Structured Products Europe conference on Nov. 19, 2015 in London.

“STOXX is the leading provider of structured products underlyings globally. It is therefore a great honor to also be recognized by an renowned industry publication like Structured Products Europe as the index provider of the year, as this validates our efforts and concepts by a neutral entity,” said Hartmut Graf, chief executive officer, STOXX Limited. “Our most recent innovative index launches include the STOXX Select and STOXX Diversification Select index families and the STOXX True Exposure index family.”

The STOXX Select and STOXX Diversification Select Indices measure the performance of companies with low volatility, high dividend yield, and – in case of the STOXX Diversification Select Indices – low correlations. These indices are specifically designed as liquid underlyings for structured products. The STOXX True Exposure (STOXX TRU) Indices allow investments in predefined countries or regions by selecting companies that have a dominant economic exposure to the targeted area. By enabling investors to sharpen portfolio exposure to selected regions, these indices allow for improved asset allocation that significantly de-risks portfolios with the same regional allocations.

The number of structured products based on STOXX indices rose 70.2% to 73,746 at the end of Q3 2015, compared to Q3 2014. The number of structured products based on STOXX and DAX indices rose 80.2% to 509,633 in the same time. STOXX is part of Deutsche Börse Group, and is the marketing agent of the DAX indices
