STOXX Ltd. today announced changes in the composition of the Dow Jones STOXX Global 1800 Index, the Dow Jones STOXX Total Market Index, the Dow Jones STOXX 600 Index and its sector indexes, the Dow Jones STOXX EU Enlarged Total Market Index and the Dow Jones STOXX Football Index.
Effective with the open of European markets on September 24, 2007 the following 12 stocks will be added to the Dow Jones STOXX 600 and its respective size and sector indexes: ANDRITZ (Austria, Industrial Goods & Services, ANDR.VI), AUTONOMY CORP (U.K., Technology, AU.LN), COMPAGNIE NATIONALE A PORTEFEUILLE (Belgium, Financial Services, NAT.BT), COOKSON GRP (U.K., Industrial Goods & Services, CKSN.LN), EXISTA (Iceland, Insurance, EXISTA.IC), NKT HOLDING A/S (Denmark, Industrial Goods & Service, NKT.KO), OMX AB (Sweden, Financial Services, OMX.SK), PANALPINA (Switzerland, Industrial Goods & Services, PWTN.EB), SOLVAC (Belgium, Chemicals, SOLV.BT), THOMAS COOK GROUP (U.K., Travel & Leisure, TCG.LN), TOM TOM (Netherlands, Technology, 38705.AE), WOOD GROUP (JOHN) (U.K., Oil & Gas, WG.LN).
Companies exiting the index are: ALTANA (Germany, Chemicals, AAAGY; ALT.XE), BANCA ITALEASE (Italy, Financial Services, BIL.MI), BIFFA (U.K., Industrial Goods & Services, BIFF.LN), FABEGE (Sweden, Financial Services, FABG.SK), FADESA INMOBILIARIA (Spain, Financial Services, FAD.MC), FASTWEB S.P.A (Italy, Telecommunications, FWB.MI), HANSON PLC (U.K., Construction & Materials, HAN; HNS.LN), INTERNATIONAL PERSONAL FINANCE (U.K., Financial Services, IPF.LN), M6 METROPOLE TV (France, Media, 5322.FR), MEDIOLANUM (Italy, Insurance, MED.MI), TIETOENATOR (Finland, Technology, TIE1V.HE), TULLETT PREBON (U.K., Financial Services, TLPR.LN).
SPORT LISBOA E BENFICA FUTEBOL SAD (Portugal, Travel & Leisure, SLBEN.LB) will be added to the Dow Jones STOXX Football Index due to its recent IPO. SCHAUMANN PROPERTIES (Denmark, Travel & Leisure, SCHAUP-B.KO), because of a sector change, will be deleted from the index.
The Dow Jones STOXX Total Market Index, the Dow Jones STOXX Global 1800 and the Dow Jones STOXX EU Enlarged Total Market Index are also part of this regular quarterly review. The new composition of the indexes can be found at http://www.stoxx.com/news/reviews.html
As of July 31 2007, the total free-float market capitalization of the reconstituted Dow Jones STOXX 600 decreased to € 7,23 trillion from € 7,29 trillion and of the reconstituted Dow Jones STOXX Total Market Index to € 7,82 trillion from € 7,86 trillion.
The total free-float market capitalization of the Dow Jones STOXX Football Index increased to € 1,183.74 million from € 946.15 million.
The total free-float market capitalization of the reconstituted Dow Jones STOXX Global 1800 index decreased to € 21,24 trillion from € 21,54 trillion, and of the reconstituted Dow Jones STOXX EU Enlarged Total Market Index increased to € 129.66 billion from € 126.70 billion.
Changes are being announced today after the conclusion of a regular quarterly component review. The adjusted component weightings, including the number of shares and free-float factors, will be announced on September 19, 2007 after close of European markets. All changes will be effective on September 24, 2007.
