Stock Exchange Of Thailand Announces New List Of Securities For Calculation Of SET50 Index

The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) has announced the new list of securities to be used in the calculation of the SET50 Index, effective for the period July 1 - December 31, 2001. The 50 securities on the list are selected according to market capitalization and liquidity criteria, based on data from June 1, 2000 to May 31, 2001. Also, these securities must not have been suspended (SP) for a long period, or have faced possible delisting. Five new securities have been selected for inclusion in the list.

TPI Polene Public Co., Ltd. (TPIPL), in the Building and Furnishing Materials Sector, Ratchaburi Electricity Generating Holding Public Co., Ltd. (RATCH), in the Energy Sector, Ekachart Finance Public Co., Ltd. (EFS), in the Finance and Securities Sector, Thai Union Frozen Products Public Co., Ltd. (TUF), in the Foods and Beverages Sector and Phoenix Pulp & Paper Public Co., Ltd. (PPPC), in the Pulp and Paper Sector.
