Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Average Daily Turnover in May HKD7,351 million

The average daily turnover for the 21 trading days in May was HKD7,351 million, a decrease of 18 per cent compared with the previous month. Total turnover value for the month was HKD154,372 million compared with HKD170,603 million in April. A total of 128,693 million shares changed hands in May compared with 99,907 million shares in April. The average daily turnover by volume was 6,128 million shares, up 17 per cent from April. The total number of trades during the month was 2,008,587 which was 6 per cent more than in April.
