Standard & Poor's – Index Changes To S&P/TSE Canadian Information Technology And S&P/TSE Canadian Energy Sector Indices

Standard & Poor's Canadian Index Operations announces that effective after the close of business on Tuesday, February 13, 2001, the following changes will take place in the S&P/TSE Canadian Information Technology and S&P/TSE Canadian Energy Sector Indices.

The following company will be added to the S&P/TSE Canadian Information Technology Sector Index: Com Dev International Ltd. (TSE: CDV).

The following companies will be removed from the S&P/TSE Canadian Information Technology Sector Index due to lack of representation: Cinram International Inc. (TSE: CRW), Imax Corporation (TSE: IMX), MDSI Mobile Data Solutions Inc. (TSE: MMD), Norsat International Inc. (TSE: NII), Nurun Inc. (TSE: IFN).

The following companies will be added to the S&P/TSE Canadian Energy Sector Index: Hurricane Hydrocarbons Ltd. CL 'A' (TSE: HHL.A), Tesco Corporation (TSE: TEO).

Company additions to and deletions from an S&P equity index do not in any way reflect an opinion on the investment merits of the company.
