Standard & Poor's – Index Change: TSE 300 Capped, S&P/TSE Canadian SmallCap And TSE 200 Indices.

Standard & Poor's Canadian Index Operations announces that effective after the close of business on Thursday, April 19, 2001, the following changes will take place in the TSE 300 Composite, TSE 300 Capped, S&P/TSE Canadian SmallCap and TSE 200 Indices.

Chapters Inc. (TSE: CHP) will be removed from the TSE 300 Composite, TSE 300 Capped, S&P/TSE Canadian SmallCap and TSE 200 Indices and replaced with O&Y Properties Corporation (TSE: OYP). This change is pursuant to TSE 300 Composite Index Maintenance Rule #2, which states: “If a stock appears in the TSE 300 QMV report at calendar quarter end with a 0.00 relative weight it will be removed from the Index at the opening of the expiry of the following month’s options and futures contracts after calendar quarter end.”

O&Y Properties Corporation is a commercial real estate company focused on two main areas, ownership and management. O&Y Properties Corporation will be added TSE 300 Composite and TSE 300 Capped Indices in the Real Estate (07.03) Group and the S&P/TSE Canadian SmallCap Index in the Financials sector.
