Further in regard to the media release dated 12 April 2010, the Management Committee of SIX Swiss Exchange has ruled in favor of the extraordinary inclusion of Transocean Ltd in the SMI and SLI indices. Transocean has fulfilled the objectively applicable criteria specified in the Index Rules concerning, among other things, market capitalization and trading turnover.
The next ordinary round for determining the composition of the various indices will be held in early July. As a part of this procedure, Transocean will be subjected to the same normal review as all other shares in the given index.
Owing to the new inclusion of Transocean, Swiss Life Holding will be eliminated from the SMI and GAM Holding from the SLI.
These index changes will be made after the close of trading on 18 June 2010 and enter into force as of 21 June 2010. The following table provides an overview of the impending changes to the specific index baskets:
