SIX Swiss Exchange August 2015: Turnover And Transactions On The Rise

For the month of August 2015, SIX Swiss Exchange and SIX Structured Products Exchange Ltd registered a higher turnover (CHF 107'270 mn, +3.2%) and more transactions (4'236'299, +2.5%) than in the previous month. The biggest increase in turnover compared to July 2015 was recorded by international bonds (CHF 1'180 mn, +7.1%). Regarding transactions, structured products and warrants showed the biggest increase (82'386, +15.2%).

Since the beginning of the year, turnover on SIX Swiss Exchange and SIX Structured Products Exchange Ltd amounts to CHF 963'953 million and is therefore 30% higher than in the same period in the previous year. In the segment Equities (incl. Funds + ETPs), the turnover of CHF 736'401 million was even 35.1% above the corresponding figure for 2014. Meanwhile, the number of transactions across all segments showed even more impressive growth, rising 38.4% to a total of34'733'044.
