Mr Gollifer will join the exchange as Senior Vice President and Head of CSM on 2 April 2001. He will lead the division in identifying and developing key exchange growth strategies, promoting SGX as a premier exchange in the Asia Pacific, spearheading its communications and branding efforts, and extending the reach of the exchange’s information services and educational efforts.
Mr Gollifer’s career spans 15 years in global capital markets, particularly those in Asia. Most recently, he was Director of Equity Capital Markets at BNP Paribas Peregrine, where he established the Southeast Asia desk responsible for new business development in the regional market.
From 1994-1999, he was with ABN-AMRO Asia. As Head of Corporate Finance in Jakarta, he managed corporate relationships, originated new business and executed various corporate actions. His career at ABN-AMRO also incorporated a three-year involvement with the ABN-AMRO Rothschild joint venture in Hong Kong and London, where he headed the Asian syndicate desk covering 13 Asian markets. During that time, he was actively engaged in more than 50 lead roles raising over US$14 billion.
Mr Gollifer started his career at Barclays Bank, where he was placed in their international management development programme designed to groom high potential individuals to senior management positions. In the eight years at the bank, he took on various roles, including risk management, marketing, and planning and human resources.

Recent appointments to SGX’s senior management team include Mr John Duggan, Senior Vice President and Head of SGX Derivatives Clearing (SGX-DC) in February 2001, and Mr Gan Seow Ann, Executive Vice President and Head of SGX Securities Trading (SGX-ST) in March 2001.
