Zhang Yujun, general manager of the Shenzhen Stock Exchange, while addressing the 11th Annual Conference of the ACG, pointed out that infrastructure, being of vital importance to and one of major issues about the development of the capital market, should be strengthened to ensure safe operation of the market and given priority amid all tasks facing the Shenzhen bourse.
He further deliberated on the following points: technology feasibility with regard to market development and product innovation; adherence to cost-benefit analysis to ensure the edge of infrastructure; stress on adaptability, reliability and compatibility of technologies; coordination and cohesion among early-, intra- and after-trading operations; reinforcing IT overhaul and renovating IT concepts.
All in all, Zhang concluded that it is necessary to learn from the lessons and experiences of overseas markets, strengthen infrastructure construction, and build an advanced multi-tier, diversified, cross-market infrastructure platform system with higher efficiency, capacity, safety and stronger expandability and adaptability for the sustained development of our national economy.
