Shenzhen Stock Exchange: Six Objectives Proposed To Sustain Safety And Stability

The Shenzhen Stock Exchange (SZSE) held a conference recently, during which post-quake construction and supporting work was summarized, the forth-coming stability-maintenance task and its focus was deployed. The SZSE pointedly noted objectives for the task from six aspects.

Sustainable stability and safety-maintaining mechanism should be founded and an effective emergency plan should be fixed for better ability to handle emergencies. Information system management should be strengthened to lift safe running level of transaction system. Advance management of investment and consultancy business and provide correct market orientation to avoid false information and rumors. Risk controlling system should be bolstered, client management should be enhanced to cooperate with self-discipline work of the SZSE and to guard proper working of the market and to lead investors to have right investment concepts.

Principals from the SZSE expressed that Chinese securities market is facing tougher challenges in sustaining safety and stability in the year of Olympic Games and the complex domestic and overseas environment.

The SZSE had a drilling to test emergency-handling ability of its members’ transaction systems and host computers and has ordered incapable members to adjust systems within limited time.
