On May 19, the national flag of SZSE was at half-mast to mourn the victims in the disaster in Sichuan province. The flag looked solemnly grieved hanging down in the rain.
At 2:28 pm yesterday, staff of SZSE gathered together to mourn the dead while horns whining. As required by China Securities Regulatory Commission, the bourse suspended its trading for three minutes from 2:28 pm to mark the nationwide respect for life and grief for the tragedy.
SZSE delivered sadness for the dead by all means in recent days. The website of the bourse is in a state of black and white while the staff are in dark dresses, and all entertainment stopped. The staff are required to concentrate on working to ensure proper running of the stock market.
