Shenzhen Stock Exchange (“SZSE”) held the first “Listed Companies-Foreign Investors Face-to-Face Communication” event recently to perfect the foreign investor service system and push forward the normalization of listed companies’ management of foreign investor relations. The activity, attracting over 20 listed companies under the north bound trading of the Shenzhen-Hong Kong Stock Connect and overseas investors, is part of SZSE’s Greater Bay Area Investor Service Program.
About 160 foreign investors have conducted in-depth exchanges with senior executives from listed companies on the state of business, core competencies, strategic planning and industrial prospects one-on-one or through group meetings or panel discussions during the two-day event, which was well-received by both attendees and has drawn considerable attention from investors globally.
Relevant responsible persons from SZSE attended the event and introduced the characteristics of the SZSE capital market, operation of the Shenzhen-Hong Kong Stock Connect, recent development on regulation and services to foreign institutional investors, and addressed their issues of concern. A responsible person from SZSE expressed that, the capital markets in our country are getting more international day by day, and the construction of the Greater Bay Area has become a national development strategy, against which background, SZSE, drawing on the experience from the previous activities “Listed Companies’ Open House Program for Foreign Investors”, has come up with innovative ways to run the activities and tried to improve the result. The first “Listed Companies-Foreign Investors Face-to-Face Communication” event successfully held by SZSE is a further exploration of foreign investor services and the long-term mechanism for management of foreign investor relations for listed companies.
Since the launch of the Shenzhen-Hong Kong Stock Connect, SZSE continues to provide services on management of international investor relations by organizing and running roadshows overseas with Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited, regular reverse roadshows domestically and other activities including the “Listed Companies’ Open House Program for Foreign Investors”, to promote the Shenzhen market to foreign investors. Next, SZSE shall continue to explore new means for management of foreign investor relations, help improve listed companies’ capacities on this regard, and further expand its global influence as an innovation capital formation center.
