Share Changes For ABB Ltd And Next Plc In The S&P European Indices.

Standard & Poor’s will make the following changes in the S&P Europe 350, S&P Euro Plus and S&P United Kingdom indices, effective after the close of trading on Thursday 10 August 2006:

ABB Ltd (Switzerland, SEDOL: 7108899, GICS: Industrials, GICS Code: 20104020), a member of the S&P Europe 350 and S&P Euro Plus indices, shares will increase to 2,182,009,703 following the issue of new shares for convertible bonds.
Next Plc (United Kingdom, SEDOL: 3208986, GICS: Consumer Discretionary, GICS Code: 25503010), a member of the S&P Europe 350 and S&P United Kingdom indices, shares will decrease to 229,209,652 following a buyback and cancellation of ordinary shares.
