- Statoil ASA (Norway, SEDOL: 7133608, GICS: Energy, GICS Code: 10102010), a member of the S&P Europe 350 and S&P Euro Plus indices, shares will increase to 3,242,132,525 following the issue of shares to Norsk Hydro shareholders due to the merger of the two companies oil & gas activities. The IWF will change to 0.3809. The new group will be renamed StatoilHydro ASA.
- Norsk Hydro ASA (Norway, SEDOL: B11HK39, GICS: Energy, GICS Code: 10102020), a member of the S&P Europe 350 and S&P Euro Plus indices, will remain an index constituent, but a price adjustment will be applied to reflect the divestment of the company’s oil & gas business. The amount of the price adjustment will be linked to the Statoil closing price of Friday 28 September. The company’s GICS classification will be changed to Aluminium (GICS Code: 15104010).
