Share And IWF Change For Boots Group Plc In The S&P European Indices

Subject to the sanction of a UK Court Hearing on 28 July, Standard & Poor’s will make the following changes in the S&P Europe 350 and S&P United Kingdom indices, effective after the close of trading on Friday 28 July 2006:

• Boots Group Plc (United Kingdom, SEDOL: B0P7Y25, GICS: Consumer Staples, GICS Code: 30101010), a member of the S&P Europe 350 and S&P United Kingdom indices, shares will increase to 967,508,491 following the merger with Alliance Unichem Plc. The new group, which will be renamed Alliance Boots PLC, will have an IWF of 0.8501. The GICS for the new group will be unchanged as 30101010 – Drug Retail.
