Singapore Exchange (SGX) has been named Best Index Provider at Structured Retail Products’ (SRP) Asia-Pacific Awards ceremony held last night in Singapore. The Awards recognise the best service providers and distributors and best buy and sell-side companies across the region.
Industry recognition of SGX Index Edge’s innovative approach to the development of index solutions and understanding of clients’ needs were factors that helped to secure the Best Index Provider title. SGX Index Edge delivers proprietary and custom indexing solutions across a range of underlying instruments, strategies and asset classes.
Simon Karaban, Head of SGX Index Edge, said, “We are proud to have won this award, which celebrates the milestones achieved since the launch of our index business, particularly given the long-established and global providers shortlisted. The award is also testament to growing support from clients and product issuers across the region, with whom we have achieved great success with both listed and unlisted products based on SGX indices across key markets including Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan and Korea.”
SGX Index Edge last year launched a series of thematic indices together with FactSet, enabling investors to capture the growth in global trends such as robotics and cybersecurity. These solutions are fast gaining traction among product issuers in the region, and add to SGX Index Edge’s growing custom index and calculation agent offering.
