SGX Appoints SEVP Seck Wai Kwong As CFO And Promotes EVP YEO Lian Sim To SEVP

Date 27/07/2007

Appointment of CFO

Singapore Exchange Limited (SGX) is pleased to announce today the appointment of Mr Seck Wai Kwong, Senior Executive Vice President (SEVP) and Head of Post Trade and Retail, as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) with effect from 1 August 2007. Mr Seck, a member of the SGX Executive Committee, replaces the current CFO, Mr Linus Koh, who has decided to pursue career opportunities outside the Exchange.

Mr Seck joined SGX in June 2003 as Executive Vice President (EVP) and CFO. He was promoted to SEVP in November 2005 and has since led various groups and units, including Strategy and Business Development, Post Trade and Retail and Legal and Compliance.

"We are delighted that Wai Kwong has agreed to take on the role of CFO again. He was instrumental in SGX's acquisition of a 5% stake in the Bombay Stock Exchange, as well as in the development of other business alliances. The Exchange will benefit from Wai Kwong's experience in business development and finance," said Mr Hsieh Fu Hua, Chief Executive Officer of SGX. "I would also like to thank Linus for his contributions to SGX."

"I've enjoyed being a part of such a committed team of professionals. It is heartening to see the evolution of SGX in this increasingly globalised marketplace. However, I feel the time is right for me to move on and embark on business ventures in private equity and alternative investments," said Mr Linus Koh, CFO, SGX. Mr Koh joined the Exchange in May 2004 as EVP and Head of Products and Services.

Promotion of Head of Risk Management and Regulation Group

SGX is also pleased to announce the promotion of Ms Yeo Lian Sim from EVP to SEVP with effect from 1 August 2007. She will continue in her current role as Head of Risk Management and Regulation – a pivotal position in enhancing transparency and accountability amongst SGX-listed companies.

"Lian Sim has contributed significantly towards raising regulatory standards in the industry and maintaining a fair and orderly marketplace. Under her stewardship, SGX has progressively supported market development with responsive regulations," said Mr Hsieh. "I would like to congratulate Lian Sim on her well-deserved promotion."

Ms Yeo is a member of the SGX Executive Committee and chairs the Exchange's Enterprise Risk Committee.
