SETTRADE Dot Com CEO, Mrs. Chanisa Chutipat, revealed that SETTRADE will launch its new product the SETSMART- Investor Version on May 1, 2004. The product has been developed by the SET to be another alternative for retail investors which will provide them with equal access to the same information as professional investors.
"The SET Smart or SET Market Analysis and Reporting Tool program has been available through a closed system and is targeted at brokers, mutual fund companies, research houses, and advisory service firms. This has limited the availability of stock market information on listed companies, trading, member companies, and analyses to professionals and has kept it from reaching retail investors.
However, via the Internet, SETSMART will no longer be limited to specific client groups. Retail investors can now access the same quality of service as their professional counterparts. Only a log-in name and password are required to log onto www.setsmart.com.
The SETSMART Program provides complete information with easy access and convenience in handling. The SETSMART-Investor Version is another product that SETTRADE and the SET proudly present to retail investors so that they can utilize it as a tool to make investments more efficiently whilst better managing their risks," Mrs. Chanisa said.
The SETSMART-Internet Version will be available starting May 1, 2004. It will have an official launch at the Money Expo scheduled to be held on May 13-16, 2004. Demonstrations of the program will be given at the SETTRADE's booth.
To start using the SETSMART Program, all investors will have to do is purchase a SETSMART card at 390 baht (to access the 3-year archive) or one at 590 baht (to access the 5-year archive). The cards are valid for 3 months from the first login. The SETSMART card is available at the SET Book Shop on the first floor of The Stock Exchange of Thailand Building (next to the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center) or can be purchased via e-mail at bookshop@set.or.th.
