On 11 December, 2017, Shenzhen Stock Exchange (“SZSE”) held a training program titled “SZSE-Goldman Sachs Investor Relation Seminar” with Goldman Sachs. The activity was well received with over 250 senior executives and heads in charge of investor relation from listed companies.
During the activity, relevant person in charge of SZSE’s Investor Education Center gave a thorough introduction on how to get key points of investor relation management through investors’ hot issues. The team of Goldman Sachs made detailed introduction and sharing on “how to develop overseas investor relation management via overseas investment banks”, “how to attract overseas long-term capital”, “2018 outlook on China’s macro economy and investment strategy”, “how to stand out in attracting foreign capital”, “how to deal with investor relation in overseas merger and acquisition”, “how to manage public relations effectively” and other subjects. At last, Vanke shared its practical experience of overseas investor relation management as the representative of listed companies.
Taking the opportunity of the one-year anniversary of Shenzhen-Hong Kong Stock Connect, SZSE promoted domestic and foreign investor relation with top foreign investment bank Goldman Sachs. Since the opening of Shenzhen-Hong Kong Stock Connect, overseas investors’ level of participation in A-share market has been constantly elevated, institution styles have become diversified and their understanding of Shenzhen market has gone deeper. From the perspective of professionalism and practicability, the activity helped listed companies coping with real problems concerning communication with overseas investors and better carrying out overseas investor relation management work.
Based on the steady operation of Shenzhen-Hong Kong Stock Connect, SZSE continuously reinforces overseas investor relation management by putting the introduction of overseas investors at an important position to improve market operation quality, perfect investors’ structure and open up capital market. Over the past year, SZSE held 123 promotions towards more than 600 overseas investment institutions covering the world’s major financial markets. Meanwhile, it also took advantage of Internet technology to innovate the promotion patterns, such as holding road shows via Bloomberg, Reuters and other international media platforms to expand its coverage. These promotions not only promoted interactions between listed companies and overseas investors, but also demonstrated the new look of Chinese enterprises of the new era, accelerating Chinese enterprises’ pace to step out. Next, SZSE will continue to improve service for overseas investors, push the opening up of capital market and assist the international development of listed companies.
