KEY HIGHLIGHTS

  • The DJ-UBS Commodity Index was negative for the month, down 2.6%, driving YTD returns down to 8.6%.
  • Among subindices in the energy sector, unleaded gasoline declined the furthest, down 7.9%
  • Grains were down 3.7% MTD, mainly due to corn’s underperformance.
  • The industrial metals were up 1.6% for the month, with copper carrying the sector.
