Register For Joint ACER And ENTSOG Workshop On Maximisation And Efficient Use Of Gas Transmission Capacities (14 March 2023)

What is it about?

The EU Agency for the Cooperation of Energy Regulators (ACER) and the European Network of Transmission System Operators for Gas (ENTSOG) jointly organise a workshop on maximisation and efficient use of gas transmission capacities.

In response to changing gas supplies in 2022, gas transmission systems are now being used differently than originally planned. The changed flows have led to congestion in important parts of the European transmission system causing inefficiencies in the market functioning.

The aim of the workshop is to share insights on:

Observations on congestion in gas transmission systems during 2022;
The examples of fully used capacity;
The steps taken to reroute gas flows since the beginning of the European energy crisis; and
The implementation of Article 14 of Council Regulation (EU) 2022/2576 on more effective use of transmission capacities.
