Prime Minister Of The Hellenic Republic, Alexis Tsipras’ Meetings In St. Petersburg

Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras, accompanied by the Minister for Productive Reconstruction and Energy, Panagiotis Lafazanis, within the framework of the Economic Forum in St. Petersburg, met with Gazprom’s head Alexey Miller. They discussed energy issues and the issue of the pipeline.

The Prime Minister, along with the Energy Minister, Mr. Lafazanis, also met with a delegation of the management of the new BRICS development bank.

The BRICS delegation consisted of the first president of the new development bank, Kundapur Vamar Kamath, the executive director of the IMF and new vice president of the new BRICS development bank, Paolo Nogueira Batista, the Russian Deputy Finance Minister, Sergei Storchak as well as of Vladimir Dmitriev, the head of VEB-Vnesheconombank, Russia’s State Bank for Development and Foreign Economic Affairs.

The BRICS delegation stressed to the Prime Minister their strong interest in the cooperation between Greece and the new development bank.
