Effective 25 March, new index weights will apply for companies in equity indices of Deutsche Börse. Deutsche Börse released the preliminary weighting figures on Tuesday. An update of the preliminary weighting will be published on Thursday. The preliminary data can be downloaded from the Deutsche Börse website (www.deutsche-boerse.com). The final figures based on Thursday’s Xetra closing prices will be published on the Deutsche Börse website on Friday.
On Wednesday 5 March, Deutsche Börse has decided on changes in its equity indices, that will take effect on 25 March. Hamburger Hafen will be included in MDAX and will replace AWD. Demag Cranes will also move to MDAX, replacing the share of IKB.The share of IKB will move to SDAX replacing the share of Demag Cranes.
In TecDAX the share of REpower will be included, ADVA will be leaving the index. Phoenix Solar will be included in TecDAX, replacing AT&S.
As Deutsche Börse already announced, as of 25 March the sectoral divisions which previously applied only to Prime Standard equities, will now also be transferred to General Standard and Entry Standard. In addition to the 18 sectors, 9 new large supersectors will be launched.
Deutsche Börse will also launch the DAX International index family on 25 March. Each of the indices contains the most liquid national and international stocks from the Prime Standard, General Standard and Entry Standard, which are traded on Xetra.
The next equity index review is scheduled for 4 June 2008.
Final weightings will be available on Friday.
