The number of securities accounts operated by KDPW Participants increased in August 2010. Following a decrease in the number of accounts in July, their number grew by 1,155 in August. Banks and brokerage houses operated 1,370,577 accounts at the end of August.
The number of accounts increased by almost 238 thousand year to date.
The highest increase in the number of securities accounts in August was reported by Dom Inwestycyjny BRE Banku (1,043 new accounts), followed by Noble Securites (1,018 new accounts) and BM Alior Banku (460 new accounts).
The highest percentage growth in the number of accounts in August was reported by Noble Securities, up by 22 percent.
The highest number of securities accounts operated at the end of August was reported by Dom Inwestycyjny BRE Banku (241,462 accounts) followed by Centralny Dom Maklerski Pekao SA (220,645 accounts) and DM Pekao SA (172,181 accounts).
