PLUS Markets today posted its trading activity figures for the month of September which saw an overall increase against last year. Bargains were up 10.59% at 52,310; trade value increased 12.72% at £353.81m, and number of shares traded grew by 9.76% at 467.32m.
“PLUS trading activity is going strong year-on-year. In the run-up to MiFID, we’re focusing efforts on launching our new trading platform, together with our new rules for trading under MiFID, and an updated tariff framework to support an extended stock coverage including UK and EU liquid shares,” said Business Development Director Cyril Theret.
Year-to-date, 592,417 trades, worth over £3 billion (£3,689.157m), representing over 5.664 billion shares, have taken place on PLUS. Last year, over half a million trades, also worth a total of nearly £3 billion (£ 2,997.42m) representing over 5.75 billion shares, took place on PLUS.
