Philadelphia Mummers from the Polish American String Band will ring the opening bell to kick off trading for the New Year on the floor of the Philadelphia Stock Exchange on Wednesday, January 3 when they will ring the opening bell. Music and remarks will begin promptly at 9:15 a.m.
The Polish American String Band was established in Port Richmond in 1933. They will be celebrating their 75th anniversary in 2008. The band is acclaimed for its dedication to Philadelphia Mummery through their music, their costumes and their award-winning presentations.
