Perseus Launches 11 New Connected Cities In Asia Roll-Out - Record Breaking Expansion Connecting Asia To Rest Of World

Perseus, a leading provider of managed services and connectivity for high-precision, high-performance applications, has expanded its Points of Presence (PoP) and connectivity into several major Asian markets. Adding 75,000 miles of new subsea cable connectivity to the Perseus network reaching a number of the world’s key emerging markets, including some of the largest client contracts in Perseus’ history.

The new PoPs extend the Perseus network from North America to India, Hong Kong, China, Japan, Singapore, Australia and the Philippines with dual and diverse PoPs in almost every location and encompassing all financial exchange colocation centers, including Tokyo, Hong Kong, Mumbai, Pasig City, Manila, Sydney, Guam, Singapore, Seattle, Los Angeles and San Jose. This service expansion enables Perseus to deliver additional features for customers in these new locations, building upon its globally-renowned managed services suite.

Perseus shipped over 120 network devices across the globe, and deployed multi-point, high-performance switches that create a self-healing, dynamic network. Perseus also installed Ultra-Low Latency (ULL) Layer 2 switches, enabling delivery of market-to-market managed services to customers. These enhancements, along with ability to provide service on demand, ensure that Perseus customers in these Asian markets are equipped with the fastest connections and the most robust network available in the industry.
