Partisia Blockchain Helps Put Decentralization On Davos Agenda

Date 09/01/2024

Partisia Blockchain, the Swiss organization fostering unparalleled opportunities by empowering privacy-preserving, interoperable and sustainable innovation for fairness and transparency, is at the center of putting decentralization on the global stage in its participation at the inaugural World Crypto Forum. The event takes place during the World Economic Forum (WEF), one of the largest gatherings of decision-makers. The organization is not only a sponsor of the first World Crypto Forum, but will actively participate by hosting a keynote address, where it will unveil a transformational new product, and sit on two panels.

Blockchain and digital assets are edging towards mainstream adoption. They are also gaining ground in established economic, political, and technological circles as new participants in driving transparency, accountability, and trust.  Nowhere is this more apparent than in the Word Crypto Forum, which runs parallel to the WEF in Davos. This event brings together experts, leaders, and innovators in the blockchain industry to facilitate idea exchange and advance Web3.

As such, it covers important topics such as Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDCs), financial inclusion, sustainability, asset risk, and digital identity.

Partisia Blockchain is ideally placed to contribute to these discussions, as they offer solutions based on zero-knowledge, smart contracts, and multiparty computation (MPC) on the blockchain, ensuring data privacy, security, control, and data ownership. This is particularly relevant for this year’s WEF theme “Rebuilding trust”, as the organization’s efforts directly contribute to facilitating any type of transaction in digital environments.

Partisia Blockchain’s co-founder, Brian Gallagher, who holds two United States patents for decentralized identity management on the blockchain will participate in panels on ‘Building the future with cross-chain liquidity’ and ‘Web3 and digital identity’. The former in which panelists will cover key issues such as regulatory implications of cross-border transactions, AML, compliance, interoperability, and cross-chain custody solutions. As Web3 is the emerging form of online interaction, Brian will also share his thoughts in a session on digital identity, taking on important topics, such as user control, inclusion and accessibility of solutions, and data privacy and security.

Besides Brian, other executives from Partisia Blockchain will attend the event.

Brian Gallagher, Partisia Blockchain’s co-founder, “We’re excited to be a part of the first World Crypto Forum at Davos. It could not have come at a better moment, as crypto and digital assets are on the cusp of mainstream institutional adoption. This points to not only the efficacy of crypto, but of the underlying possibilities for enterprise blockchains and decentralized management of identity and assets, especially regarding custody. We hope all of the delegates at Davos are ready to embrace this message because decentralized governance infrastructures will help any and all of the ways we transact, and are the only means to effectively build trust in our digital world into the future.”
