Oslo Børs prepares a Millennium Exchange system release in Q4. Tentative go-live date is 8 December 2018.
Millennium Release 9.3
Oslo Børs is happy to announce that our Turquoise Lit Auctions™ functionality will be upgraded with Minimum Execution Size (MES) as per go-live of Millennium 9.3 on Oslo Børs. MES allows trading clients to secure their defined satisfactory execution size, and is already available in other Oslo Børs trading functionalities. The introduction of MES in Turquoise Lit Auctions(TM) on Oslo Børs does not impose protocol changes.
Another client facing change within the Millennium 9.3 release is off-book trade amendments. Trade amendments are currently handled by cancel and replace, with no connection between the old and the new trade. A new field OrigTradeId(1126) will be introduced in the Post Trade protocol's Trade Capture Report message for the purpose of linking amended, published off-book trades to the original trade reports.
Oslo Børs expects protocol changes in the Millennium 9.3 release to be kept at minimum.
Millennium 9.3 timeline
30 August: First CDS deployment (including mentioned client facing functionality)
18 October: Final CDS deployment
24 November: Dress Rehearsal with optional client participation
8 December: Go-live
Mentioned milestone dates are tentative, and they may change.
Legacy CDS environment
A Millennium Legacy CDS environment will become available to Oslo Børs’ customers from August 2018. Oslo Børs consider the provision of Legacy CDS to be a requirement introduced by MiFID II, and the new environment will become available to customers before the announced Millennium 9.3 CDS upgrade. The two CDS environments will be available in parallel to customers.
Essentially Legacy CDS simplifies customer’s testing of production software in periods when Oslo Børs Millennium CDS environment has been upgraded to the next release.
Technical connectivity to Legacy CDS
In order to simplify the enablement process, all customer’s existing CDS Comp IDs will be migrated to Legacy CDS. All network enablement/SAPs currently valid for CDS, will automatically be enabled for Legacy CDS, with exception of multicast (market data) for which Oslo Børs' enablement team must be contacted for access. Technical documentation for the test environments, technical parameters and test guides will be updated in due course on Oslo Børs’ websites for technical documentation and testing.
