Opta<SUP>SM</SUP> S&P Private Equity ETN Lists On NYSE Arca - Lehman Brothers’ First Opta<SUP>SM</SUP> ETN Lists On NYSE Arca

NYSE Euronext (NYSE Euronext: NYX) today announced the launch of the Lehman Brothers’ first Opta^SM Exchange Traded Note with the initial listing of the OptaSM S&P Private Equity ETN on NYSE Arca. Trading under the ticker symbol PPE, the Opta^SM S&P Private Equity ETN is designed to track the performance of 30 leading private equity companies included in the S&P Listed Private Equity Index® Net Return Index.

Including today’s listing, NYSE Arca markets have 241 primary ETFs and 27 ETNs listings and trade all other eligible ETFs on a UTP basis.  In 2007, NYSE Arca added 122 new ETFs and ETNs to its roster of primary listings, including a record 101 IPOs.  For the full-year 2007, NYSE Arca was the primary listing exchange of choice with a total of 261 ETFs and ETNs listed and $340 billion assets under management.
