OpenLink Named The Energy Risk Commodity Trading And Risk Management Software House Of The Year

Date 13/05/2015

OpenLink, the global leader in trading and risk management solutions to the energy, commodities, corporate, and financial services industries, is delighted to announce it has won Energy Risk’s ‘CTRM Software House of the Year’ for 2015. The win follows a year of innovation and industry recognition, and earlier success in the same publication’s reader survey which ranked OpenLink the ‘Best Overall ETRM Platform’.

At an award ceremony in Houston, Texas, OpenLink collected the prestigious title for a year in which it continued to lead the market, investing heavily in product development and completing the year’s biggest C/ETRM deal. The year also saw OpenLink make a number of significant changes to its business, including a large extension to its partnership network to support client needs, and the formalization of its Packaged Solutions – ‘off-the shelf’ market best practice standards that every trading business will need. This simplicity now allows a significant new market segment to take advantage of OpenLink’s sophisticated C/ETRM functionality, and drastically cuts implementation times (fully functional front-to-back trading systems can now be implemented from start to finish in as little as 16 weeks).

“We’ve always been known for our ability to deliver on big projects for big companies,” explains Dr. Mark Greene, CEO, OpenLink. “We’re proud of that heritage, but wanted to find ways to enable more companies to benefit from our industry experience and the leading standards - but with quick time to value. We’ve made significant investments in product, our people, and delivery over the past year, and are delighted to be recognized by both Energy Risk and its readers.”

The award comes off the back of widening industry recognition for OpenLink, recently ranked as a ‘leader’ within Gartner’s Magic Quadrant for Trading Platforms and ‘category leader’ in Chartis’ RiskTech Quadrant for ETRM. OpenLink also took the top spot for ‘Commodity Trading Platforms’ in Risk Technology’s 2014 rankings, and retained the title of Energy Risk survey’s ‘Best Energy Trading and Risk Management Platform Provider’ for the tenth consecutive year. OpenLink now has over 580 clients worldwide, and its solutions are used by more than 37,000 users internationally.
