Opening Of Renovated NZX Wellington Headquarters

Date 19/05/2015

NZX re-confirmed its commitment to Wellington at the opening of its renovated Cable Street offices last night attended by Hon Bill English.

The event also marked a farewell for NZX Chairman Andrew Harmos, who is retiring from the Board at our Annual Meeting on Thursday 21 May in Auckland. Andrew is standing down after seven years as Chairman and 13 years as a Director on the Board. He is being replaced in the role by James Miller, currently NZX’s Deputy Chairman.

NZX Tim Bennett commented: “The refurbished office provides a modern, efficient working environment for our team and underlines NZX’s continued commitment to Wellington and our stakeholders here, including listed companies, market participants, co-regulators and industry bodies.”

Cable Street is NZX’s largest office and home to more than 100 staff including market operations, regulation, IT and corporate services teams. It is complemented by the considerably greater presence that NZX has developed in Auckland over the past two years following the opening of its Queen Street office.
