The NZX 50 Index ended the month of September at 3,589; it has grown 6.5% in the last nine months. For September, the average daily number of trades across the three markets was 2,050, and the average daily value traded was $150 million.
NZDX Performance and Upcoming Listings
The NZDX continues its strong performance run for 2006.
Value traded for the year to date on the NZDX was $1.44 billion. Trading numbers have also increased from 2005; there have been 23,200 NZDX trades through the end of September compared to 19,857 during the same period for 2005.
GPG Finance plc Capital Notes list on the NZDX today, 3 October, with a $350 million capital notes offer that will set capital raised this year to date on the NZDX at over $2 billion. Sky Network Television Limited Bonds lists on the NZDX on 17 October, and NZ Finance Holdings Limited Capital Notes list on the NZDX on 25 October.
Barramundi Limited, a new investment fund from Fisher Funds, lists on the NZSX this month and Glass Earth Limited lists on the NZAX.
NZX is also pleased to welcome a further two tranches of Instalment Warrants from UBS and a further seven series of Rolling Instalment Warrants from ABN AMRO Equity Derivatives New Zealand Limited.

Smartshares funds under management (FUM) is $329 million. There are now 14,645 unit holders across its five ETF products.
