- Total number of trades for the NZSX was 41,621 for the month, a 5% increase on April 2006. Total value traded on the NZSX was $2.1 billion for the month, a 3% decrease on April 2006.
- Total number of trades for the NZAX was 421 for the month. Total value traded on the NZAX was $3 million.
- Total number of trades for the NZDX was 2,401 for the month. Total value traded on the NZDX was $122 million.
Capital Raised
- New equity raised in April was $210 million and new debt raised was $345 million. Total capital raised in April was $555 million, an 106% increase on the same period in 2006.
Other
- The total number of instalment warrants trades for April was 678, a 35% increase on April 2006. Total value traded for instalment warrants for April was $6.7 million.
- Smartshares funds under management (FUM) is $369 million across its five ETFs, an 65% increase on April 2006. Smartshares has a total of 14,722 unitholders, a 39% increase on April 2006.
- Link currently serves a total of 129 Issuers, 78 of which are NZX Listed.

- Strong index performance, with the NZX 50 Portfolio index up 11% on the same time last year.
- Increase in debt trading, assisted by three debt security listings in April: Rural Portfolio Capital Limited, Fidelity Capital Guaranteed Bond Limited and Works Infrastructure Finance (NZ) Limited.
- Total capital raised year to date is very strong at $1.627 billion. New equity raised year to date is $832 million and new debt raised is $795 million. Total capital raised in April was $555 million, this is an 106% increase on the same period in 2006.
