The NYSE lists 18 French companies, the highest number of any country in Continental Europe, with a total market capitalization of approximately $630 billion. The partnership between the NYSE and France dates back to the listing of TOTAL S.A. (NYSE: TOT) on Oct. 25, 1991. The most recent French company to list on the NYSE was Air France-KLM (NYSE: AKH) on Oct. 5, 2004.
