NYSE Names Gary M. Stein, Vice President, Investor Relations

The New York Stock Exchange has named Gary M. Stein to the newly created position of Vice President, Investor Relations. Mr. Stein will be responsible for managing relationships and communications with shareholders and the investment community for the NYSE Group, Inc. and will report to the Chief Financial Officer.

Mr. Stein, 38, has been Vice President, Business Development since joining the Exchange in April 2004, where he was responsible for business analysis pertaining to the corporate-finance objectives of the Exchange, including the NYSE’s primary revenue lines and other potential growth opportunities.

Prior to joining the Exchange, Mr. Stein was an Executive Director at Morgan Stanley Capital International. Other experience includes efinanceworks, Morgan Stanley Venture Partners and Patricof & Co. Ventures. Mr. Stein received a B.S. in Economics with a concentration in Finance from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and an M.B.A. from Columbia Business School.
