New York Stock Exchange member firms that conduct business with the public reported a fourth-quarter 2009 after-tax profit of $7.6 billion and revenues of $38.3 billion, compared with a $7.2 billion after-tax loss on revenues of $23.5 billion in the fourth-quarter of 2008.
