NYSE Group, Inc. Names William M. Freeman Acting General Counsel

NYSE Group, Inc. announced today that it has named William M. Freeman Acting General Counsel.

Mr. Freeman, 59, has been with the New York Stock Exchange since 1989 and, since February 5, 2004 , has held the position of senior vice president and deputy general counsel.
